Voq is a Chrome extension that reads selected text aloud. This policy explains what data Voq does and does not collect.
Voq does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
— Voq does not collect the text you highlight or read aloud.
— Voq does not collect your browsing history or the pages you visit.
— Voq does not collect your IP address, device information, or location.
— Voq does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising of any kind.
— Voq does not create or store user accounts.
— Voq does not communicate with any external server.
When you highlight text and click "Read aloud with Voq", the selected text is passed directly to Chrome's built-in text-to-speech engine. This process happens entirely on your device. No text leaves your browser.
Voq requests two permissions from Chrome:
— contextMenus — to add the "Read aloud with Voq" option to the right-click menu.
— tts — to access Chrome's built-in text-to-speech engine.
Neither permission allows Voq to access, read, or transmit your data.
Voq does not share any data with third parties. There are no third-party services, SDKs, or APIs integrated into Voq.
Voq does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
